It's fiesta time on Friday! Want to partake without feeling like you need to take back-to-back classes at Soul Cycle the next day to make up for all that eating and drinking? We're guessing that's a "yes."
Get your workout in that morning.
Put on your most colorful leggings to celebrate the holiday (see above). Come happy hour, you may still be in your SweatStyle apparel, but you won't want to be wearing it to the gym!
Find a mariachi band.
Pop-up workout: find that Mexican restaurant with a band and a dance floor, and your Cinco de Mayo is good to go.
Order your own skinny margarita.
Even if it's not on the menu, you can most likely dictate to the waiter this healthy version of a margarita: tequila + squeeze of lime + a little club soda + a little triple sec or cointreau.
Make your own Cinco de Mayo fest!
Whip up guacamole using not just avocados, but also Greek yogurt to up the volume. Buy baked, not fried, tortilla chips and make one of these tasty margaritas at home:
Watermelon Margaritas (@hungrygirl)
Blend the following ingredients: 1 1/2 cups seedless watermelon, 3 ounces tequila, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 3 packets of sweetener like Truvia, and 2 cups crushed ice (or 10 - 16 ice cubes).
The Cooking Light Margarita (@cookinglight)
